Laura Baer is an associate attorney specializing in representing school districts and other public entities. She has a background in both insurance defense litigation and education. She spent nearly 14 years with the Law Offices of Murchison and Cumming, a large civil litigation firm based in Los Angeles. There, she specialized in cases involving general negligence, products liability and construction defect litigation.

Ms. Baer has extensive experience in all facets of the litigation process, from case inception and initial analysis, to discovery, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations to settlement and trial. She has negotiated hundreds of successful settlements on behalf of her clients. She has also had the responsibility of training and supervising incoming associates in each phase of pretrial discovery. Additionally, she was an associate with the Law Offices of Joseph R. Baer in Manhattan Beach for two years, gaining further experience in plaintiff-based civil litigation and personal injury law.

As a former teacher with the El Dorado County Office of Education, she has a unique perspective to bring to education-related litigation. As the mother of a special needs child, she has had extensive experience with school districts in issues involving special education.
